About Us

Built on the
Job Site

Fundamental Flooring was built from the job site up. Darius started in a flooring store warehouse, learned the trade as an installer's helper, and never looked back. Guillaume brought construction experience and the financial discipline to run a tight operation. Tristan, a close family friend and the backbone of our crews, sets the pace — his installation speed defines the standard every crew member works toward.

Together they launched Fundamental Flooring in January 2022 with their first contract — an 80-unit apartment building. Most companies spend years working up to a project that size. We started there.

In our 5th year we've completed over 10 large multi-family buildings, countless residential projects, and a full-scale golf course hotel — accumulating over 1,050,000 square feet of commercial flooring across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Since our first year of operation we've maintained a long-term partnership with one of Canada's largest residential developers — a relationship built entirely on trust and consistent delivery.

What keeps those relationships strong isn't just the quality of our work. It's how we operate on site. Flooring is often the last trade in. We understand the pressure that comes with that. We work weekends, we do what it takes, and we get it done on schedule — without creating friction with the GC or the trades around us. In commercial construction, that matters as much as the floor itself.
